Blog 1: A country you would like to visit




Hello classmates. In this blog I am going to write about a country would I like to visit.

I really want to visit Uruguay, I think this country is so progressive compered with the others countries of Latin America, for exemple, since 2012 the aborto is legal, the gay married is legal since 2013 and legalization of weed since 2013 to. Also one of the people that I most admire is Pepe Mujica, I think he is one of the best liders ever in this century.

I¨ve heard Uruguay is the perfect combination of city, countryside and beach, to me that is the perfect stage to live; and of course the mate and dulce de leche, I am addicted to both!

At first I would like to go to the monument of Salvador Allende in Montevideo, then walk of the most famous streets like “Colonia de Sacramento” or “Villa Soriano” and visit the amazing beaches of the Atlantic.

I would love live in there, first like a student and If it goes well work and put down roots.

Blog 7: Changes to my study programme

 Hi everyone, in this blog I am going to talk about changes to my study programme I would like have more psychology, I think is a class very important and necesary to a social worker formation, because we are going to interact with people all the time and we have to learn to do it the best that we can do for that people trust in us and our job what is help them. Also I would like have a practice and “nucleos”, at the moment we just have “nucleos” what is about investigation but I am kind of scare when out of college and do not have practices and do not know what I have to do in work and how deal with people and the institution where I work. Hi, everyone in this blog I am going to talk about my favorite social  worker. She is Mary Ellen Richmond (1861- 1928), she was an american social work pioneer. She studied to be a "friendly visitor" which was the first concept for a social worker. She started visited the homes of people in precarious situations and tried to help to change that situation and she began to develop many ideas of how social workers could best be conducted to help people. She was connecting with a organization called "Charity Organized Society" and during that time she demonstrated her qualities as a leader, teacher, and practical theorist.
